About PCCOE
Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering & Research (PCCOE&R) was established in 2014 under the aegis of Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET). Presently, the Institute offers NBA-accredited undergraduate programmes in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, E&TC Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, along with programmes in Information Technology, BBA, and BCA.
PCCOE&R is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra, and DTE, Mumbai. Recently, the Institute was accredited with an A++ grade by NAAC in its very first cycle of accreditation. The Institute is also ISO 21001:2018 certified.
Right from its inception, PCCOE&R has adopted Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and a student-centric approach. The Institute follows a Four-Pillar Philosophy, namely Academic Excellence, Research & Innovation, Professional Competence, and Social Commitment.
The Institute has experienced, dedicated, and highly qualified faculty, including 40 PhD holders and 44 faculty members pursuing PhDs. With state-of-the-art infrastructure and an environment conducive to learning, research, and innovation, PCCOE&R has consistently ranked among the top five institutions in SPPU results and has produced 33 University Rankers in a short span of time.
PCCOE&R strongly focuses on research, innovation, product development, publications, patents, copyrights, incubation, and entrepreneurship. The Institute is one of the pioneers in adopting Project-Based Learning (PBL). Notable achievements include recognition by World Records of India for filing the maximum number of copyright applications in a single day on 16th February 2018 and for 38 women faculty members filing patents together on 17th December 2019.
At PCCOE&R, research and intellectual property are ingrained in the institutional culture, with contributions from the Principal, faculty members, and even non-teaching staff, reflecting a strong spirit of innovation across the campus.
